For Freedom in times of Anguish
In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears (2 Sa 22:7)
Then called I upon the name of the Lord; O Lord, I beseech thee, deliver my soul (Ps 116:4).
Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, that thou mayest hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee now, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee: both I and my father’s house have sinned (Ne 1:6).
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors (Mt 6:12).
For God’s Knowledge
Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people (Ex 33:13).
By Liberation of the Enemies
And the children of Israel said unto the Lord, We have sinned: do thou unto us whatsoever seemeth good unto thee; deliver us only, we pray thee, this day (Judg 10:15).

For the Confirmation of the Promises

Therefore now let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may continue for ever before thee: for thou, O Lord God, hast spoken it: and with thy blessing let the house of thy servant be blessed for ever (2 Sa 7:29).

In the Affliction
Bow down thine ear, O Lord, hear me: for I am poor and needy (Ps 86:1).
But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God (Ps 40:17).
In the Disease
Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much (James 5:14-16).

To Order Our Steps
Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me (Ps 119:133).
Teach me, O Lord, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end (Ps 119:33).
For the Peace of Jerusalem
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces (Ps 122:6-7).
Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem (Ps 51:18).
For the Bread of Every Day
Give us this day our daily bread (Mt 6:11).
To be Freed from Temptation and Evil
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen (Mt 6:13).

Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me; That I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judaea; and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints (Ro 15:30-31).
So that our Eyes are Illuminated to know their Blessings
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints (Eph 1:18).
For the Ministry of the Gospel
And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel (Eph 6:19).
Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds: That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak (Col 4:3-4).
To be Full of Love, True Knowledge and Spiritual Understanding
For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding (Col 1:9).
To be sure in all of God’s Will
Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God (Col 4:12).
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thess 5:23).

So that on leaving this earth Christ receives our Spirit
